History
Under the Han Empire in 111 BC e. Wudu County (武 都 郡) was created, which included Hechi County (河池 县) in these places. In the era of the Three Kingdoms, these lands became the scene of the struggle between the kingdoms of Shu and Wei.
In the IV century, the states of Chowchi and Early Qin fought for these lands. Under the North Wei Empire, Guanghua County (广 化 县) was created here, and the southeastern part of the modern Huixian County became part of Xi'an County (思安 县). Under the Northern Zhou Empire , Guanghua and Xi'an counties were subordinate to the Guanghua County (广 化 郡) of Fengzhou Province (凤 州).
Under the Sui Empire, in 583, Guanghua County was disbanded, and Guanghua and Xi'an counties became directly subordinate to the authorities of the Fengzhou region. In 601, Guanghua County was renamed Hechi, and subsequently Xi'an County was annexed to Hechi County.
After the Mongol conquest, the Fengzhou region was renamed Huizhou (徽州) in 1264. In 1270, Hechi County was disbanded, and its lands passed under the direct control of regional structures; only one county remained in the region - Lyandan.
Under the Qing Empire, in 1729, Lyandang County was removed from the region, and the region itself was demoted and became a county - this is how Huixiang County appeared.
In 1949, the Tianshui Special District (天水 专区) was formed, and the county became part of it. In 1958, Chengxian, Huixian and Liangdan counties were merged into Huicheng County (徽 成 县).
In 1961, three counties were restored, and became part of the Special District of Wudu (武 都 专区) allocated from the Tien Shui Special Region. In 1968, the Udu Special District was renamed the Udu County (武 都 地区). In 1985, Wudu County was renamed Lunnan County (陇南 地区).
In 2004, Lunnan County was disbanded and Lunnan City District was formed.
Administrative Division
The county is divided into 13 villages and 2 volosts .
Notes
- ↑ In accordance with the rules of the Russian name of Chinese toponyms, if the Chinese name consists of one syllable, then the Chinese word is added to it, indicating the type of toponym ("county", "mountain", "river", etc.) so that the Russian name was at least two-fold.
