Sadova, Natalya Ivanovna

Natalya Ivanovna Sadova (maiden name is Koptyukh ; born July 15, 1972 in Gorky ) is a Russian discus thrower . At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she won a gold medal. Three years earlier, at the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton , she also became a winner, but subsequently lost the title of world champion, as she had an increased level of caffeine . Instead, the Belarusian champion Ellina Zvereva was declared a champion.

Biography

She began to do athletics with her father - Ivan Nikitovich Koptyukh [2] . Since 1992, she began to train under the guidance of her husband Mikhail Sadov [3] .

Due to the discovery of doping after the competition, May 28, 2006 was disqualified for two years until July 2008. Participated in the 2008 Olympic Games , but could not reach the final part of the competition.
