Description
Small semi-rigid winged insects with translucent elytra, body length 2-3 mm. Head width 0.98–1.03 mm; head length 0.35–0.40 mm. The combined width of two elytra is up to 1.68 mm. The main color is brown, to almost black. The body shape is wide oval, flat. The head is transverse, about 2.5 times wider than its length; the anterior margin is convex. Pronotum at the rear smooth. Ocellia absent. Antennae short 3-segmented, club-shaped. The mouth parts are hopognathic. Paws 2-segmented. Flightless brachypterous insects. They are found in forests of southern beech ( Nothofagus ) and podocarpous-broad-leaved. Seasonality: October - February [1] .
