Description
Small semi-rigid winged insects with translucent elytra, body length 2-3 mm. Head width 0.98–1.09 mm; head length 0.22–0.26 mm. The combined width of two elytra is up to 1.54 mm. The main color is yellowish brown, legs are yellow, eyes are reddish-gray. The body shape is wide oval, flat. The head is transverse, V-shaped (top view), concave in front. Pronotum is approximately 4 times wider than its length. Ocellia absent. Antennae short 3-segmented, club-shaped. The mouth parts are hopognathic. Paws 2-segmented. Flightless brachypterous insects. Found in forests of southern beech ( Nothofagus ). Seasonality is almost year-round, but more often observed in September - November, February (adults more often appear in April - June and August) [1] .
