Emblem Description
Four-part shield.
- In a scarlet field, a gold with silver trim and ribbons, an episcopal miter and a golden staff in the left band.
- In the golden field are three scarlet pillars ( Foix ).
- In the golden field are four scarlet pillars ( Catalonia ).
- In the golden field are two scarlet cows, with collars and bells ( Bearn ). Motto: VIRTUS UNITA FORTIOR (from lat. - “Together we are stronger”).
Symbols
The shield consists of the arms of the co-owners of Andorra: the bishop of Urhel , the spiritual head of the largest diocese in Catalonia, and the counts de Foix, who included in their coat of arms and the coat of arms of the Viscountate of Béarn (now represented by the President of France ).
