Geneva Motor Show ( German: Internationaler Auto-Salon Genf , French Salon international de l'auto de Genève , Italian. Salone internazionale dell'auto di Ginevra ) - a motor show held annually in March in Geneva , Switzerland .
First held in 1905. The only European Class A auto show held annually . One of the main places for the presentation of new products from leading global automotive brands. Venue: Palexpo , an exhibition center located next to Geneva International Airport . Every year, global auto manufacturers present design concepts of their own design, or the world's most famous bodywork studios, at the auto show.

History
The first car show took place in 1905 . At the first auto show cars with internal combustion engines, steam engines were presented. In 1926, the Palais des Expositions (Palace of Exhibitions) exhibition complex was built for the auto show [1] . During the Second World War, the car dealership did not function - its work was resumed in 1947.
Over the years, the debut of such cars as the Ford A, Fiat Topolino, Maybach Zeppelin, Mercedes 300S Ponton, Fiat 500, Jaguar E-Type, Mercedes 230 SL Pagoda, Ferrari Dino, Ford Granada , Ford Capri took place at the Geneva Motor Show , Audi 80 , Audi 100 , Ford Mondeo (first generation), Audi A8 with aluminum body (first generation), Renault Vel Satis, Citroen C6.
In 2005, on its centennial anniversary, the Geneva Motor Show was visited by a record number of people - 747,000 [2] .
2010
From March 4 to March 14, 2010, the 80th anniversary auto show was held at the Geneva Palexpo exhibition complex. During the work, 692 thousand people visited the car dealership, which is 7% higher than last year's attendance, including 11,000 journalists [2] .

2011
The 2011 show was held from March 3 to 13, 2011. The exhibition featured over 700 brands, more than 100 new products from the global automotive industry. Among them are the Audi A3 concept sedan, the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive roadster, the Fiat Freemont crossover, the Porsche Panamera multi-door coupe of a hybrid modification, the seven-seat hybrid Toyota Prius [3] .

2014
The 84th Geneva Motor Show was launched on March 04, 2014. For the first two days, the salon worked only for journalists in order to familiarize them with exhibits for presentation in publications, and then it was open to everyone. Passed from March 4 to March 16, 2014 [4] [5] .

Leading car manufacturers of the world, both premium brands and the middle segment, traditionally took part in the auto show. In 2014, 900 cars were presented at the auto show, including more than 200 new products. The list of new products includes Renault Captur, Rolls-Royce Wraith, Porsche 911 GT3, Toyota i-Road, Chinese automobile brand Qorus. A McLaren 650S supercar with a monocoque body made of composite materials, a prototype of the future PassoCorto Hyundai mid-engined sports car, the first front-wheel drive model in the history of BMW - a 2-Series Active Tourer minivan, an updated Ford Focus , Concept Estate Volvo station wagon, with a panoramic sunroof , touch control on-board systems, five-door coupe Vision C Skoda .
