Geography

In addition to the right bank (the only one of the three districts), the district also includes the left-bank (western) part of Murmansk with respect to the Kola Bay .

The city of Kola adjoins the district from the south.

In the central part of the district, Gorelaya Mountain stands out.

The water area of ​​the Kola Bay - 10.51 square meters. km, the length of roads is 578 km 400 m.

History

It was founded on February 21, 1975 by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR as Pervomaisky District from part of the territory of the Oktyabrsky District [2] .

In 1995, the Pervomaisky district was transformed into the Pervomaisky administrative district [2] .

The district territorially includes microdistricts: Uyuta Valley , Zhilstroy , Kamennoe Plateau , Petushinka , Northern Nagornoye , Southern Nagornoye , located on the eastern (right) coast of the Kola Bay , as well as Abram-Mys , Drovyanoye , Three streams , which are located on the western (left) coast Kola Bay.

According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, the population living in the district is 121357 people, of which 55520 are men (45.7%) and 65837 are women (54.3%) [8] .

Transport

A four-lane automobile bridge over the Kola Bay was built in the Pervomaisky Okrug - one of the longest automobile bridges in Russia and the second longest over the Arctic Circle. The total length of the bridge is approximately 2.5 kilometers, and its surface part is 1.6 kilometers.
