Sevastopol District is a former district in Moscow .
Description
The building of the district executive committee is located at: Profsoyuznaya Street, Building 31. Building of the RK CPSU: Architect Vlasov Street, Building 19. It received its name from the city of Sevastopol. The territory is located within the limits of the Okruzhnaya Railway to the Moscow Ring Road , the south of Moscow. Considerable ownership is occupied by the Bitsevsky Forest Park [1] .
The total area of 3100 hectares. The area of forest is 1200 hectares. Water 10 hectares. The number of people in 1978 is 283 thousand [1] .
The main roads are: the avenues of Sevastopol , Balaklava and Nakhimov [1] .
History
Until 1960, the prevailing part of the district belonged to the structure of the Moscow Region . Sevastopol District was formed in 1977 [1] [2] .
In 1978, the area of the residential fund was 4,223 thousand square meters, there were 10 working enterprises in the area: Sewing production associations Moscow and Cheryomushki, Mechanical Plant No. 2, Plant of metal and household goods; 20 research institutes, design organizations and design bureaus: Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences, Institute of Sociological Research, Institute of Economics of the World Socialist System; 43 schools, 79 pre-school education, 12 polyclinics, 86 grocery and 36 industrial stores, 383 food service outlets, cultural and educational organizations, such as 5 cinemas, 5 DK, 13 libraries [1] .
In 1991, the district was abolished.
