Story
Allegra Geller (Jennifer Jason Lee), the best creator of organic game consoles in the world, together with a group of testers is conducting a presentation in the church of her new existential virtual reality console , Existence. In order to play, you must connect to the bottom of the future version of the game console through the bio-connector in your body. At the very beginning of the presentation, Allegra is attacked by a fanatic armed with bizarre organic weapons that are not detected by security sensors. In fear of the other killers, Geller runs away with trainee Ted Pikl ( Jude Law ), who, by the will of fate, turns out to be her bodyguard. Under Allegra, containing a single copy of Existence, it appears to be corrupted by an attempted murder. To find out the degree of damage, Allegra persuades the reluctant Paykl to play "Existence", for which you need to install a bio-connector in his body. They begin to play, under the influence of events, either returning to reality, then leaving the game again. In the plot of the game, the theme of eliminating Allegra is a red thread. But the peculiarity of the game is that it is difficult for participants to determine whether they play a game or live a real life. Towards the end, adventures become so confusing that determining where players are located becomes especially difficult.

Novelties
Christopher Priest wrote a novel of the same name to accompany the movie Existence, the theme of which has much in common with the themes of his own works.
The producers of the film, the Hungarians Andras Hámori (Hámori András) and Robert Lantos (Lantos Róbert), reported that the letters X and Z were not randomly selected, the word “isten” stands between them, which means “God” in Hungarian [1] .
