He started playing tennis at the age of seven. His parents are Jindrich and Anna. There is an older sister - Radka.

Sports career
He began his professional career in 1996. He specialized in doubles games. In April 1998, together with partner Peter Kovachka, he won the futures tournament. In September of the same year, in Alpirsbach, together with Leos Friedel, he won his debut title in the Challenger series tournament. In April 1999, together with the Macedonian tennis player Alexander Kitinov, he made his debut in the main competitions of the ATP tour , playing at the tournament in Casablanca . In the same season, he first played in the Grand Slam series tournament by participating with Peter Pala at the US Open . In September 2000, Cibulec wins the first ATP title, defeating Leos Friedel on the ground in San Marino . In 2001, at the French Open, this pair manages to reach the quarter-finals. A year later, speaking already paired with Leander Paes , Tomasz renews his personal record and reaches the semifinals here. In March 2003, together with Pavel Wiesner, he won the tournament in Copenhagen and reached the highest position in his career in the doubles ranking, taking 21st place. In July 2003, Wiesner and Tsibulets were able to win the ATP 500 tournament in Stuttgart . In September 2008, he completed his professional career.
