Biography
Yuri Dmitrievich Tyurin was born on September 20, 1937 in Moscow. He graduated from MVTU named after N.E. Bauman.
1963 USSR champion in the 5000 m race. Winner and winner of many international competitions.
After finishing his career, he worked as the head coach of the USSR national teams [1] , the RSFSR and Moscow in running in 1975-1992, including at the 1980 Olympic Games .
In 1980, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor [2] .
He died on October 10, 1997. He was buried at the 37th section of the Khimki cemetery in Moscow [3] .
