The name Magazinaya street appeared at the beginning of the 19th century according to the shops located along it (warehouses, shops). In 1911, there was also the option of Shop Street .
On September 4, 1919, it was renamed Karl Liebknecht Street in honor of one of the founders of the German Communist Party, K. Liebknecht . April 23, 1923 it became the street of Karl Marx - in honor of the founder of the theory of scientific communism K. Marx . Earlier, his name was Palace Street for some time.
On July 7, 1993, the street was returned to its historical name - Magazeynaya Street [1] .
