Church truth ( Greek Εκκλησιαστική Αλήθεια [1] ) is the central journal of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople , published in Constantinople during the Ottoman Empire .

It began to be published in 1880 with the blessing of the Patriarch of Constantinople Joachim III and was originally called “Truth” (Αλήθεια), but in 1881 it was renamed “Church Truth” [2] . In 1923, in connection with the difficult financial situation of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the magazine ceased to exist [2] .
In 1990, the stavropegic monastery of Vlatadon in Thessaloniki began to digitize the old issues of the magazine.
