Club career
In adult football he made his debut in 1962 with appearances for the Sparta club team, in which he spent five seasons and took part in 137 championship matches.
During 1967-1970 he defended the colors of the PSV club team.
With his game for the last team, he again attracted the attention of the Sparta club coaching staff, which he returned to in 1970. This time he played for the team from Rotterdam for the next ten seasons of his playing career. Most of the time spent as part of Sparta was the main player on the team.
In 1980 he returned to the PSV club, for which he played 7 seasons. He completed his professional career as a football player with appearances for the PSV Eindhlwen team in 1987.
Team appearances
In 1967 he made his debut in official matches as part of the national team of the Netherlands . During his career in the national team, which lasted 15 years, he spent in the form of the main team of the country only 8 matches.
As part of the team, he participated in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina , where he won silver with the team and the 1980 European Championship in Italy .
