Sankin, Alexey Vyacheslavovich

Aleksei Vyacheslavovich Sankin (born November 1, 1958 in Moscow ) is a Russian social entrepreneur , founder and general director of the Moscow interactive children’s museum of folk toys Zabavushka , whose main goal is to popularize Russian folk toys [1] .

Biography

Alexey Vyacheslavovich Sankin was born on November 1, 1958 in Moscow . Received higher education at Moscow State Pedagogical University. V. I. Lenin in the specialty "History", after which he worked in the 1980s, the Central Committee of the Komsomol . In the 1990s, Sankin was engaged in various social projects, and soon began his active entrepreneurial activity . At the very end of the 20th century, he lost his father , who throughout his life was fond of collecting folk toys . It was this rather rich collection that served as the occasion for the creation of a charity children's museum . Initially, having received funds from sponsors, Alexey Sankin organized an exhibition for children with interactive elements, which was a success, which gave impetus to the further work of a social company [2] .

Alexey Sankin opened the museum in 1998 as a society of folk art lovers “Tradition” [3] . On September 5, 2002, on the initiative of a social entrepreneur, a charity event “Return of Folk Toys” was organized [4] . On February 12, 2002, another exhibition began, at which representatives of 20 crafts from 15 regions of Russia were represented. On September 16-18, 2008, the museum created by Sankin took part in the festival “The Kremlin for Children” [5] .

Among other things, on May 17, 2013 Aleksey Vyacheslavovich Sankin took part in the round table “Folk Crafts of the Moscow Region: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” in Balashikha , where he made a presentation “Using Folk Toys in Interactive Programs on the Example of the Folk Toy Museum“ Fun ” [6] .
