There are 8 million deaf people in India , of which only 67% have jobs [2] , one of the main goals of the company is to make this group of the population economically active and more significant for society [2] .
As a rule, hearing impaired people have good visual memory and are well oriented in the area, having good eyesight, they are good at reading maps, all these qualities make them competitive in comparison with people engaged in courier business with normal hearing [2] .
In 2009, after graduating from Oxford with a degree in Social Entrepreneurship, Hindu Druv Lacra, returning to his homeland, founded the company Mirakle Couriers. Initially, the business was launched at its own expense, but expansion required financial injections and in 2010 was to take a loan from the Echoing Green Fellowship fund, which was repaid in 24 months [2] .
Venture investors came to Druva Lacra many times, but were refused due to the reluctance of the creator of the company to get involved in their tactics aimed ultimately on the priority of making profit over the social component of the project [2] . It was the social component of the business that found feedback from customers, and quite quickly the company became competitive in the Indian market [4] , one of the first Mirakle Couriers customers was Vodafone [2] .
The company employs 64 people: 4 managers, 20 women processing orders and 44 couriers [5] . The company is ready to pick up the parcel from 5:30 to 22:00 seven days a week anywhere in Mumbai and guarantees its delivery to anywhere in India within 24 hours [2] . International parcels, according to company standards, are delivered in no more than 4 days. Each month, the company provides 65,000 deliveries, while couriers travel around the city exclusively on foot or by public transport (deaf people cannot get a driver’s license in India) [2] . The percentage of completed orders on time is 98% [6] .
Couriers are managed via SMS , all couriers are dressed in orange uniforms with the company name embroidered on a T-shirt and the name of the courier, the scheme for receiving packages from clients is automated for the deaf, each courier has a barcoder and a printing device with him [2] .
The key companies of Mirakle Couriers include the following companies: Vodafone , Mahindra & Mahindra Limited , The Aditya Birla Group , Victory Art Foundation , JSW Group , Indian Hotels Company , Godrej Group and Essel Propack [1] , [2] .
