Biography
Born in Ivanovo. Before he got into football, he was engaged in the athletics section. He entered the Ivanovo “Textile Worker” at the age of 18. Soon, Alexander Shulyakov became one of the team leaders and the favorite of the local public. He played on the right flank of the attack. He differed from his partners in speed and good technique. From 1968 to 1971 Shulyakov was a member of the RSFSR national football team. In 1971, the Leningrad Zenit invited the footballer to him, but the Ivanovo regional committee of the CPSU did not let the player from Tekstilshchik go. In 1975, Shulyakov left the team. In total for her in the championships of the USSR, he spent 349 games and scored 51 goals.
For several years, Alexander Shulyakov played in the championship of the Ivanovo region for the Teykovskoye “Red Banner” and the Ivanovo “Machine Tool Builder”. In these teams, he acted in an unusual position for himself “libero”. The footballer became the winner of the championship and the owner of the Cup of the Ivanovo region.
