Biography
He graduated from the Department of History at the University of Havana . Since 1960, he worked at ICAIK . Published in the magazine “ Cine cubano ”. In cinema, he began as an assistant to the director of short films. He made a significant contribution to the creation of film cycles under the general title " People's Encyclopedia ".
Member of the jury of the X Moscow International Film Festival (1977), the 27th Berlin International Film Festival (1977) and the 47th Berlin International Film Festival (1997).
In 2003, he founded the Film Festival “Cinema of the Paupers” in the Cuban city of Hibara .
