When registering a marriage, he said that his real name was Payenborg ( Dutch: Pijnenborg ), but he became so famous as “Payenburg” that he preferred to change his last name.

Biography
Born in 1906 in Tilburg . In 1928, at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, he won a silver medal in the team pursuit. Subsequently, he turned into a professional, 4 times became the champion of the Netherlands.
In 1940 he completed his sports career. Subsequently maintained a restaurant in Tilburg.
