Ust-Luga is the station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway [2] in the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region . The terminal station on the line Kotly - Ust-Luga .

It is located at a distance of about 1 km from the village of Ust-Luga [3] and the abolished village of Krakolye , not far from the confluence of the Luga River into the Gulf of Finland .
Earlier, the railway continued from the station further to the Kurgalsky Peninsula , to Kurgolovo . The branch was dismantled in the 1940s; a mound was partially preserved from it [4] .
Since the late 1990s, the seaport of Ust-Luga [5] and the Ust-Luga railway junction serving it (Luga-Severnaya, Luga-Neftyanaya, Luga-Yuzhnaya, Luga-Sortirovochnaya; Luga-Gazovaya, Luga-Generala and Luga-East) [6] [7] .
Passenger traffic to the station ceased in 2008 or 2009. In November and December 2015, passenger traffic resumed to serve the port, terminals and railway junction, however, the terminal station was the Koskolovo platform near the village of Koskolovo and the seaport of Ust-Luga [8] [9] .
