Farmer (newspaper)

The founder of the newspaper was the Poltava Agricultural Society. It was published from 1896 to 1917, originally edited by DK Kvitka , then the editors were P.N. Malama , A.P. Shimkov and others. The language of the newspaper was Russian , and in 1917 also Ukrainian . The main role of this newspaper was the expansion of knowledge in agriculture. The materials of the publication were devoted to various questions of the economic activities of the zemstvos , often work on local history and literary-critical reports were also published. The newspaper was distributed in Poltava , Chernihiv and Kharkiv provinces .
