A divisional set is a separate formation of combat and rear support , which are part of the divisions .
Simply, this is what is included in one or another division, without which it cannot fully fulfill its mission.
In the forces and types of forces ( aviation , navy , army, and so on) of the armed forces of various states, this set can be different.
Rifle and Motorized Rifle Divisions
- separate engineering and combat engineer battalion ( ISB ), subordinate to the chief of the engineering service of the division
- separate communications battalion ( obs ), subordinate to the division’s communications chief
- Separate reconnaissance battalion ( orb ) - for tank and motorized rifle divisions , subordinate to the chief of intelligence of the division
- separate reconnaissance company ( orr ) - for airborne divisions , subordinated to the division’s chief of intelligence
- separate battalion of material support ( obmo ) - subordinate to the deputy division commander for rear services
- separate repair and restoration battalion ( ORB ) - subordinate to the deputy division commander for technical affairs
- separate medical (health) battalion ( omedb ) - subordinate to the head of the medical service of the division
- a separate chemical protection battalion ( obkhz ) or a separate chemical protection company ( arkhz ) - subordinate to the head of the chemical division service
- commandant company ( Komr ) - subordinate to the chief of staff of the division
- control and artillery reconnaissance battery ( BUiAR ) - for armored and motorized rifle divisions , subordinate to the division’s chief of artillery
- platoon of the division’s chief of artillery ( vunad ) - for airborne divisions . subordinate to the chief of artillery division .
For some military branches (forces) there were the following specialized formations of the “division set” or division set :
- Airborne Assault Battalion (Airborne Assault ) - the formation of airborne divisions that performed maintenance and training of airborne landing equipment. Subordinate to the Deputy Commander of the Airborne Division
- missile technical base ( RTB ) - the formation of the Strategic Missile Forces and Air Defense divisions, which serviced complex missile equipment and corresponded to the formation of the division level. Subordinate to the deputy division commander for technical matters .
