Biography
Efraim Haimovich Lipets was born on January 2, 1902 in Berdichev in the family of Chaim Froimovich Lipets, the son of the owner of a cloth and yarn store, a merchant of the second guild Froim Lipets. My father worked in the branch of paper yarn of this store, located in Boyarsky's house on Cathedral Square in Berdichev. Nephew of economist D. A. Lipets and lawyer F. E. Nyurina .
After graduating from high school, he worked as an employee. In 1929, Lipets graduated from the Moscow Institute of National Economy (now - G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics ) [1] .
For a long time he served in the financial organs of the Red Army. In 1940 he was appointed head of the financial and planning department of the Main Directorate of Artillery of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. He held this position during the Great Patriotic War. On February 9, 1944, Efraim Lipets was awarded the military rank of Major General of the Quartermaster Service [1] .
In November 1952, in connection with the campaign against cosmopolitanism, Lipets was sacked. He lived in Moscow . He died on November 5, 1964 [1] , was buried at the Don cemetery in Moscow.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner , two orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, orders of the Red Star and the Badge of Honor , along with a number of medals [1] .
