Film Festival in Cabourg ( French: Festival du film de Cabourg ) is a specialized film festival that focuses on films shot in the romantic genre and films with elements of romanticism . Held annually in June for 5 days in the resort town of Cabourg , Normandy , France . During the festival, films are broadcast on the city's open-air beach.

The festival was founded by the French writer and journalist Gonzag Saint-Brie in 1983. The winners of the competition program of the festival are awarded with the title “Golden Swan” ( French Swann d'or ), which is a tribute to Marcel Proust . The figurine of the award is made in the form of two swans ( Eng. Swan ), intertwined with necks, touching the beaks. The interweaving also forms a stylized shape of two hearts connected by ends.
