Evgeny Sergeyevich Vasiliev (born July 30, 1973 , Leningrad ) is a Russian entrepreneur, telecommunications worker, general director of MTT Group LLC and Interregional TransitTelecom OJSC (MTT). In 1996, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering (FAVT) of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (LETI) with a degree in System Engineering. In the same year, he received an MBA from the LETI-Lovanium business school.

Career
He has extensive experience in telecommunication companies and industry structures. After graduation, Yevgeny Vasiliev worked at PeterStar, where he successively held positions from a specialist in UPATS equipment to the head of the planning and development department.
In 2000, he took the position of Deputy Director of the Fixed Telecommunications Division of Telecominvest OJSC.
In 2002, he became the Development Director of GROS LLC.
Since August 2003, he has been General Director of CJSC Neva Line.
Since September 2004 - General Director of Petersburg Transit Telecom CJSC. [one]
In April 2006, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Infocommunication Technologies (DICT) of the Ministry of Information Communication of the Russian Federation , and from June 2006 to June 2008 he headed the DICT of the Ministry of Information Communication of the Russian Federation.
