History
Zelenograd aeration station was built in 1962, its capacity was 90 thousand cubic meters per day. In April 1967, an after-treatment system was introduced to the station, the first in Russia. The after-treatment system consisted of several drum nets and special filters. This system was in the third stage of the process associated with wastewater treatment. The purified water was planned to be thrown into the nearest Skhodnya river. However, it is shallow and the reaction zone was located at this place, further downstream was the trout farm. It did not suit the local residents and the waste was not thrown into Skhodnya. In 1979, part of the plant’s employees, of whom V. Zapornikov was, received the USSR Council of Ministers prize for the introduction of an after-treatment system in April 1967 . Both Glukhovsky and V. Zapornikov spoke about this [2] [3] :

We have repeatedly witnessed members of the inspection representative commissions pouring out on drain (after the water passed the fourth stage - disinfection with sodium hypochlorite, and then was enriched with dissolved oxygen) a glass of perfectly clean, silver liquid and drank with pleasure. |
By 1980, the third phase of the Zelenogradskaya station was adjusted; its capacity was 90 thousand cubic meters of water per day. The load at this time in the morning, in the evening and on holidays was 130-150 cubic meters per day. In the late 1980s, it was decided to adjust the fourth stage to the station, whose capacity is 140 thousand cubic meters. Since 1987, the head - Joseph Ilyich Glukhovsky. In 1992, construction began, but after a while construction was abandoned [2] .
By the beginning of the XXI century, the station passed to the production management of Zelenogradvodokanal [2] . In 2003, on the site of Zelenograd aeration station, a “specialized territory of small business Zelenogradskaya-1” (STMP Zelenogradskaya-1) was built [4] .
