Biography

Born in 1896 in Zwoll . In 1920, he became the champion of the Netherlands at a distance of 100 m, but at the Olympic Games in Antwerp he could not win medals either at a distance of 100 m or in the 4 × 100 m relay. In 1924, at the Olympic Games in Paris, he became a bronze medalist in the 4 × relay race 100 m, and also took part in the 200 m running competitions, but did not achieve success in this form.
