MCE Social Capital is a US private non-profit foundation (trust) specializing in social impact investments and venture philanthropy . Founded in 2006, it is based in the city of San Francisco (other offices are located in New York and Washington ). The main objective of MCE Social Capital is to mobilize capital for social transformations in developing countries (the main financiers of the fund are the New Resource Bank and the Corporation for Private Foreign Investments ). The fund provides loans to microfinance organizations that help women overcome poverty and improve the lives of their communities (77% of the ultimate borrowers of the fund are women, 78% are rural residents) [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9 ] ] .

History
In 2012, 2013 and 2014, MCE Social Capital was included in the list of the Top 50 Impact Investment Funds of the world [10] . In May 2014, the fund changed its name from MicroCredit Enterprises to MCE Social Capital.
At the beginning of 2015, MCE Social Capital provided loans for more than $ 93 million to 50 organizations in more than 30 countries of the world. Preference is given to small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives and associations that increase employment among rural women, solve environmental, medical and educational problems. A separate fund credits microfinance organizations operating in black African countries.
