The first version of the game for Apple iPad devices was released on April 8, 2014 ^[2] . At the end of May of the same year, the project became available for Apple iPhone users ^[3] . A version for Android devices appeared on June 26, 2014 ^[4] , then in August the game was presented in the app store Amazon Appstore ^[5] , and in November, “Transport Empire” was published on the social network Facebook ^[6] . In February 2015, the project became available for the Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms ^[7] . By the end of 2014, the game’s audience numbered more than two million people ^[8] .

In the game "Transport Empire," the player assumes the role of a novice businessman, who will have to restore the industry and transport system in the region called Storwell. To achieve this goal, the player has to adjust the extraction of resources, create extensive transport networks, hire managers of mines and mines, as well as constantly acquire and modernize a variety of vehicles ^[9] .

The map, on which all game resources and cities are located, is gradually revealed to players. The higher the level of the player, the more areas on the map can be used for the extraction and processing of resources.

Each game action requires certain resources and takes a certain amount of time. A player can always use game currency and resources to speed up game action.

The game features several types of vehicles: trains, steamboats and airships. With their help, the player executes contracts and makes a profit. The higher the player’s level, the more prestigious and efficient vehicles are available to him.
