Biography
Yury Lvovich Domogarov was born in 1915 .
His father, Lev Evgenievich Kovanko ; April 16, 1891, St. Petersburg - October 31, 1938, Vladivostok) [3] - the lieutenant assigned to the Siberian navy crew. In military service since 1910. Participant of the 1st World War and the Civil War (as part of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia , then the Russian Army) [4] [5] .
Mother - Nina Arkadyevna Kovanko (D. Domogarova) (1895 -?), On June 8, 1940, she was put in prison for 10 years. [6] .
In 1940, he starred in the biographical film " Suvorov " in the role of General Matthew Ivanovich Platov .
In the years of the Second World War after the second course of VGIK, he went to the front as part of the first front brigade of the theater of the Soviet Army, together with Mikhail Gluzsky , A. Petrov .
He was seriously wounded near Rzhev in 1942 , after which he was commissioned from the active army.
However, he continued to serve in the artillery personnel of the Soviet Army until the 1950s.
After being discharged from the army, he worked as managing director of Mosconcert , then as director of Rosconcert .
In the 1970s, by order of Minister E. Furtseva , he was appointed manager of SoyuzAktraktsion.
In 1971, he organized the First World Amusement Exhibition in Moscow (it was then that they saw slot machines for the first time in the USSR) and until the end of his career he was director of the Natalia Sats Central Children's Academic Musical Theater [7] .
