History

Soviet time

It was founded on March 21, 1936 as the Krasnoyarsk branch of the OGIZ of the RSFSR . [1] [2] In the summer of 1936, the first manuscript was submitted to the set — a book of poems “Northern Lights” by a teacher from Igarka and, in the future, the famous poet I. D. Rozhdestvensky , which was published in 3000 copies. [1] In the same year, N. Kh . Domozhakova, a Collection of Programs for Literacy Schools, was published in Khakass language.

In 1940, the branch was transformed into the Krasnoyarsk regional book publishing house. [one]

In 1941 - 1945, more than 40 books of Krasnoyarsk writers were published, as well as 15 brochures from the series "Krasnoyarsk - Heroes of the Patriotic War" and two issues of the Yenisei almanac. [3]

In 1953, the volume of published books amounted to 6.3 printed pages . [four]

In 1963 it was included in the system of the USSR State Committee for Publications . [2]

In 1964 - 1971, the publisher’s circulation increased 1.7 times. [four]

In 1964 - 1991, it had a Khakass branch ( Khakass book publishing house ). [2] [3] [4] [5]

In the 1970-1980s, the publishing house published about 80 titles of books. [3] In 1979, the publishing house published 56 books and brochures, the total circulation of which amounted to about 2.2 million copies. [2]

The publishing house produced mass-political, production, fiction, popular science and local history literature, as well as textbooks for Khakass schools. [2] The most famous series were “ Writers on the banks of the Yenisei ,” “ Poets on the banks of the Yenisei ,” “The Modern Siberian Tale ,” “ So Our Heart Told Us ,” “The Yenisei Meridian ,” “ On Valor, Feats, and Glory .” [3]

In 1988, the satirical book of M. G. Uspensky , The Evil Eye , was released. [6]

Modernity

In post-Soviet times, the Krasnoyarsk book publishing house became one of the few that did not go bankrupt from the Goskomizdat system. [4] The total number of employees was 9 people. [7] By 1998, a total of more than 3,500 titles of books and brochures had been issued, with a total circulation of over 120 million copies. [3]

In August 2007, OJSC Krasnoyarsk Book Publishing House (100% of the shares owned by the Russian Federal Property Fund ) was put up for auction. [8] In 2008, Mikhail Vladimirovich Budilov acquired a 100% stake in the publishing house for 117 thousand rubles. [7]
