Biography
Born in an old Moscow family. Her grandfather was an officer of the Russian Imperial Army, twice the George Knight of the First World War, a nobleman. Father - a military pilot, a front-line soldier.
She started writing early, when she was fourteen she was enrolled in the School of Journalist for Gifted Children at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, which she successfully graduated from. The author’s first publications appeared in her school years in the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets (old format) with the blessing of Yuri Shchekochikhin, a newspaper employee at the time.
After graduating from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University, Tatyana Sheremeteva leaves for India, to the city of Madras, where she teaches Russian to foreigners at the Soviet Cultural Center. After returning to Moscow, he works in the International Book Association, and at the same time receives an additional education (All-Union Academy of Foreign Trade) and after a few years leaves again for a long trip to the Permanent Mission of the USSR to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva. After returning home, a competitive selection process takes place and has been working as a marketing director in international corporate business for fifteen years.
Since 2009, Tatyana Sheremeteva lives with her husband, a UN employee, in the USA.
Creativity
Moving from Moscow to New York coincides with the resumption of active creative work. Publications appear in literary journals of different countries, she becomes the winner of more than 30 international literary contests. Critics note the deep psychologism and figurative language of its texts.
After winning the Russian Style International Literary Festival (Stuttgart, Germany) in 2013, she was invited to the International Writers Guild.
In 2014, Tatiana Sheremeteva becomes a professional member of the American PEN Center (PEN American Center) and begins to actively participate in various actions and events in support of freedom of speech and the writer's right to express herself.
Soon she is accepted into the National Writers Union of America.
In 2013, the publishing house “Za-Za Verlag” (Düsseldorf, Germany) published her book “Dedicated to fools. Seventeen Tales ”, which quickly becomes the subject of pirated downloads on the Internet. In 2015, the book is republished at the Bagriy & Company Publishing House (Chicago, USA) and ranks first in the German International Literary Competition of Russian-speaking authors "Best Book of the Year" 2016 [2] .
In 2015, the same publishing house Bagriy & Company published a new collection of stories and stories by the author Gramercy Park and Other Stories [3] , in 2016 a novel Living Easy is and in January 2018 a novel Little Moon ". All four books became laureates of the contest “The Best Book of the Year” (Germany).
Currently, the writer has more than 400 publications in literary journals in Russia, the USA, Canada, Germany, Israel, Ukraine and Belarus. In 2013, she became first a regular author and soon the leader of the literary section of the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets, where in two years more than 50 of her works were published in the section MK-Setrature, and the American Russian-language monthly New Frontier.
The media portal RuMixer Media Group LLC (Chicago) publishes its texts on a regular basis and offers to run its own blog, which the author decides to call "Tested for Himself" [4] .
A similar proposal comes from the magazine Elegant New York, in which Tatiana Sheremeteva's author's column “Travels of the Amateur” appears, as well as her stories and selected chapters from major prose are published.
Currently T. Sheremeteva is a member of the editorial board of the magazine Elegant New York and its literary editor.
In 2015, the creative collaboration begins with the literary magazine Chaika (Boston), where the author's blog Sheremeteva opens.
On the Chicago radio “Narodnaya Volna”, she acts in a new capacity - as co-host of Vadim Young's “Meetings with Interesting People”.
Since 2012, Tatyana Sheremeteva has been a member of the jury of international literary contests. Over time, the author becomes the owner of a number of special awards from the organizers of the International Competition of Contemporary Novels “SerNa” and the International Literary Competition “Triumph of the Short Plot” [5] for professional refereeing and more than a hundred written reviews.
The story "Never. The story of a second-grader ”goes into the lead of many competitions and is published in school collections for extracurricular reading.
The name of Tatyana Sheremeteva is well known in the Russian-speaking community of New York. She regularly speaks to readers in such literary communities as the Pushkin Society of America, the UN Russian Book Club, the Russian Poetry Club of the United Writers ’Association of America" Orlita ", the Uncle Vanya Literary Cafe, and the Saint Petersburg bookstore in New York, National Writers Union of America.
In 2018, T.Sh. was invited as an honorary guest at the festival of Russian theaters of America "Your way out! »In Washington, where she presented her books to festival participants and viewers.
In April 2019, the author published his fifth book, Personal Collection. Magnum Opus, a collection of essays and aphorisms, published by Bagriy & Company (Chicago, USA)
