Nikolai Vladimirovich Shaparenko ( Ukrainian: Mikola Volodimirovich Shaparenko ; October 4, 1998, Velikaya Novosyolka [1] , Donetsk region , Ukraine ) - Ukrainian football player , Dynamo club midfielder (Kiev). The second youngest goal author in the history of the top division of the championship of Ukraine [1] [2] [3] .

Club career

At the age of eleven, he moved to Mariupol, where he spent about a year playing football at the Youth Sports School-4. Then he moved to the academy "Illichivets" [1] . In the team of his year of birth, he was recognized as the best player in the international youth tournament “Crimean Snowdrop” [4] . In the 2014/15 season, final for players born in 1998 in DUFL, the Illichivets team did not play due to hostilities in the Donbass , and Shaparenko with several peers fell into the application of the Mariupol team in the Premier League [5] .

In the first adult season, a young football player in a few months went from a debut in the U-19 and U-21 teams to a debut in the main team. In the Premier League, he first entered the field on April 5, 2015, at the 89th minute of the Illichivets – Shakhtar match, replacing Ivan Matyazh . On the day of the debut, Nikolai turned 16 years old 6 months and 1 day [6] . Shaparenko was the first player born in 1998 to play in the Premier League [5] .

On May 30 of the same year, in the last round of the Premier League championship against Olimpik , Shaparenko came out in the 63rd minute instead of Dmitry Skoblov, and in the time added by the referee he scored a goal [7] . Midfielder "Illichivets" was only the 3rd player to score in the championships of Ukraine at the age of 16. Before the record of the league, owned by Vasily Demidyak from the Ternopil Niva , he only needed a few days [3] . Having distinguished himself at 16 years and 238 days, Shaparenko became the second youngest goal author in the history of the top division of the Ukrainian Championship and the first player born in 1998 to score a goal in the Premier League [2] .

After the championship ended, the press published information about the interest in Shaparenko from the current champion of Ukraine Dynamo Kiev, in which the young football player ended up in the summer of 2015. [8] .

Team Career

On May 31, 2018, a debut in the Ukrainian national team took place in a friendly match against Morocco . Head coach Andriy Shevchenko released Shaparenko on the field at the beginning of the second half instead of Viktor Kovalenko . The match ended in a draw 0-0 [9] .
