The 2010 European Marathon Cup was held July 31 (women) and August 1 (men) as part of the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona , Spain . Participants played out a team prize in competitions for men and women. The medals in the individual championship were awarded as part of the European Championship.

In total, 68 athletes from 12 European countries took to the start of the teams. 6 teams participated in women (24 participants), in men - 9 (44 participants). Each country could put up to 6 people in each of the two races. Winners were determined by the sum of the results of the 3 best participants.
