Russian-Gambian relations - bilateral diplomatic relations between Russia and the Gambia . The Soviet Union established diplomatic relations with the Gambia on July 17, 1965. In Gambia, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Sergey Kryukov in Dakar ( Senegal ) is concurrently accredited, in Russia the Gambia has an embassy in Moscow , and the charge d'affaires of the embassy - Robert Shustkovsky [1] .

Gambian-Russian Relations
Russian-Gambian relations are friendly, based on the proximity of the two countries on major international issues. Regular exchange of messages between the Presidents and Ministers of Foreign Affairs. Since 1996, Russia annually provides state scholarships for the training of Gambian specialists in Russian universities . On May 15, 2014, Sergey Lavrov agreed with the head of the administration of the President of the Gambia, Nomodo Saballi, on cooperation in the development of minerals on the Gambian ocean shelf [2] . On September 24, 2014, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with the President of the Republic of the Gambia, Yaya Jamme, at the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New York . On December 1, 2014, by decision of President Yaya Jamme , entry visas for tourists from Russia were canceled. On July 23, 2015, the head of the Federal Drug Control Service, Viktor Ivanov, visited the Gambia as part of the Moscow-African Anti-Drug Dialogue conference [3] .
