History

In accordance with the Law of the Kurgan region dated July 6, 2004 No. 419 [2], the village council is endowed with the status of a rural settlement.

Geography

The territory of the village council is rich in lakes. Located north of Petrovka, Shamelya Lake has the status of a natural monument and is a popular holiday destination [3] .
