David Rosensson (born October 7, 1971 , Leningrad , USSR ) is a doctor of philology, literary critic, culturologist, startup manager, popularizer of Jewish education programs in Russia, executive director of Beit Avi Hai, the largest Israeli cultural center in Jerusalem, and Avi Hai Foundation "In the former USSR .

Biography
David Rosenson was born in Leningrad ( May 19, 1992 - St. Petersburg ). Rosenson's parents made repeated attempts to leave the Soviet Union, but each time they faced the authorities' refusal. In 1977, his father Gennady Rozenson (1946 - 1979) was arrested for possession of the Black Book by I. G. Ehrenburg and V. S. Grossman . At that time, exit documents were once again under consideration. A year later, his father was released thanks to the Jackson-Vanik amendment , as a result of which the family left for the USA .
Rosenson finishes the Yeshiva University in Yeshiva (1993-1996) summa cum laude (“with the greatest honor” - lat., Level of distinction in receiving an academic award), where he studied law . He continues his religious education in Israel, where he subsequently receives a rabbi diploma.
As a graduate student, David becomes the curator of educational projects for non-religious Jews. The project gained distribution in Moscow and Siberian academic campuses . Separately, his Beit Midrash program is singled out, embracing the distant territories of Russia, where there have never been leaders of the Jewish community , but many Jews have lived, torn from their roots.
In 2001, the Avi Hai Foundation’s representative office was opened in Moscow, Rosensson leads a number of projects in the former USSR in order to draw attention to the study of Jewish traditions, literature and culture. Rosenson is also the author of Jewish culture seminars for the Memorial Society and the Center for the Study of Judaism in the CIS, MELAMEDIA. In 2013, he was invited to the post of executive director at Beit Avi High, the largest cultural center in Jerusalem, and in 2014 received a Ph.D. in philological sciences from the Russian State Humanitarian University , defending a dissertation on the life and work of Isaac Babel .
Personal life and family
In 1997, David marries the psychologist Jenny Rosenson (born in the USSR, raised in Sydney ), in a family of six children. Since 2013, lives with his family in Israel .
Avi High Foundation in Russia
Rosenson has been the head of the Avi High Russian office since 2001. Under his leadership, several new projects were launched to familiarize young people with Jewish traditions, literature and culture. Among them:
- Booknik.ru Internet portal - the largest site dedicated to Jewish literature and culture in the context of modernity;
- “Eshkolot” - a cultural and educational project representing traditional and modern Jewish culture in edutainment (education + entertainment) format;
- “Scribes” - the largest publishing house specializing in the Jewish segment of world literature;
Rosenson conducts a series of seminars on Jewish studies in Siberian cities, educational programs in the former USSR. Thanks to close friendships with leading religious figures and renowned Jewish philanthropists , Rosensson manages to raise funds from philanthropists to implement fund projects in the field of popularizing Jewish culture in the post-Soviet space. At the initiative of Rosenson and with the support of the Avi Hai Foundation, 5 book series were founded: Jewish Life Prose in 2005, the Chase Collection in 2007, the Keshet-Rainbow Series for Children in 2008, the History of the Jewish People Series in 2008, Wandering Stars in 2011. In 2010 in the year, the JAM training program for school counselors and summer camps was created.

2013 - Winner of the FEOR “Person of the Year” Award in the nomination “Publishing”.
2015 - admitted to the World Club of Petersburgers.
Interesting Facts
The assembly, in which the governor of St. Petersburg G.S. Poltavchenko and the director of the Hermitage M. B. Piotrovsky were to take place, was to be held on Friday evening, February 6, 2015, however, for the first time in the history of the World Club of Petersburgers, out of respect for religious feelings David Rosenson, who observes Shabbat , the meeting was rescheduled for Thursday, February 5th. David Rosenson received the badge of honor from the World Club of Petersburgers from the hands of M. B. Piotrovsky.
