Biography and career

Career as a player

He began his football career in 1963 in Tashkent 's Pakhtakor , where he spent 10 seasons. During this time, he left a noticeable mark on the club’s history, playing with such Tashkent attack leaders as Gennady Krasnitsky and Berador Abduraimov . He completed his career as a football player in 1973, as part of the Andijanets team.

Career as a trainer

Bahodir Ibragimov began his coaching career in 1973, in Termez " Motorist ". He graduated from the high school of trainers in Moscow . After that he trained the Ferghana Oilman and the Samarkand Dynamo .

In 1984, he became director of the Pakhtakor youth school, where he worked until 1986. In 1986-1991 he went to the Middle East , where he worked as a trainer in countries such as Syria , Saudi Arabia and the UAE [1] .

In 1993 he returned to his native Pakhtakor, becoming the club’s head coach. Under his leadership, Tashkent residents became the second in the championship and won the Cup of Uzbekistan .

In 1996, he was appointed head coach of the national team of Uzbekistan . Under his leadership, the team barely overcame the 1996 Asian Cup qualifying round , and also performed extremely unsuccessfully in the 1996 Asian Cup final round. After that, Ibragimov was removed from the post of head coach of the national team of Uzbekistan.
