History
In 1743, an outpost of the Russian Empire Semiskulsky redoubt was built on the north-eastern shore of Lake Semiskul by Cossacks and dragoons under the command of Colonel Pavlutsky [2] . In 1752, the fortress lost its military significance and was inhabited by peasants, immigrants from the Krasnoslobodskaya and Kyzatsk settlements of the Tobolsk province. The village of Semiskulskaya appeared [3] . According to the census of 1782, there are 19 houses in the village inhabited by 159 residents. In 1897, the construction of a stone church began. The construction of the temple ended in 1901, and in 1898 a parish school was opened. The village received the status of "village of Semiskul." The village of Semiskulskoye becomes the administrative center of the Semiskulsky state farm, gives a name to the village council, forestry, and high school. Since 2005, the village of Semiskul is uninhabited.
In accordance with the Law of the Kurgan Region dated July 6, 2004 No. 419 [4], the village council is endowed with the status of a rural settlement.
