Biography

I.P. Marev

By origin a peasant. He graduated from elementary rural school. He was a blacksmith at the Kolomenskoye Machine-Building Plant with a profit of 500-700 rubles a year. He was repeatedly elected authorized by the workers to negotiate with the factory administration. According to some reports, he was a member of the RSDLP . In other sources, his position is defined as “sympathetic to the RSDLP” [3] .

On February 6, 1907, he was elected to the State Duma of the second convocation from the general electors of the Moscow Provincial Electoral Assembly. On February 12, 1907, the Bobrovsky Sub-District Committee of the RSDLP organized the departure of his deputy to St. Petersburg. A rally was held at Golutvin station, where I.P. Marev delivered a speech. He said, “Workers can gain their rights only in the struggle — the order in the country and the equality of citizens will come only when the proletarians of all countries unite and rally.” He ended his speech with the words: “I will die for the truth or will return to you as a full citizen” [4] . According to V.F. Dzhunkovsky, Marev during the election held an extremely left position [5] .

In the Duma, he became a member of the Social Democratic Faction. Modern scholars point out that Marev was adjacent to her Menshevik wing [6] . But he did not take an active part in the Duma's work. At the end of March, I.P. Marev noted disorganization and anarchy in the faction [7] . On May 5, 1907, a search was conducted at the headquarters of the Duma faction of Social Democrats, which was located in an apartment rented in the name of I.P. Ozol , among the 35 people whom the police found there, there were 5 deputies, including Marev [8] . He was brought to trial in the case of the Social Democratic Duma fraction . Due to the lack of evidence of his guilt, he was acquitted in court [9] . According to other sources, he served a link for three years [4] .

During the elections to the IV Duma, he was among 230 authorized representatives from the workers of the Moscow province. September 30, 1912 elections were held 9 electors of the working curia. The former deputy, obviously, had good chances to overcome this stage. However, an energetic campaign was waged against him, later exposed as a secret police officer, Roman Malinovsky , who sought to get someone else into the electors from Kolomna. Malinovsky hinted that Marev had some kind of story, that he was suspected of something. As a result, Marev himself withdrew [1] .

The fate and date of death is unknown.
