Story
Carol Clayton (Gene Harlow) is the daughter of farmer Frank Clayton, who breeds pedigree horses. He intentionally lost the Saratoga farm to his close bookmaker Duke Bradley (Clark Gable). After the death of his father, Carol forbids his fiancée Hartley Madison to bet on the races, unfortunately for Duke, who hoped to win back his money lost to Hartley in Belmont. Carol and Duke confront each other, their meetings are accompanied by constant quarrels. Meanwhile, Duke and his old friend Fritzi figured out how to cover losses. They persuaded the best jockey Dixie Gordon for a fee to replace the horse at the races. At this point, Carol had already fallen in love with Duke and broke off her engagement to Hartley. But Duke respects the desire of her late father, who once forbade his daughter to deal with everyone who is connected with horse racing. Carol buys Gordon's contract from Fritzi. Everything is ready for the ruin of Duke, but kind-hearted Fritzi saves the situation.
