Standing Eumenes

The scheme of the Athenian Acropolis. The standing is numbered 16

Standing Eumena - standing in the Acropolis of Athens , located between the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Theater of Dionysos . It was built on a hillside. It is named after its builder, Eumenes II of Pergamon (whose brother Attalus II of Pergamon built Stoat Attalus on the Agora of Athens, probably built by the same architect). It was a two-story building, 46 m longer than the Standing Attala, and unlike it there was no room behind the two-room hall, which means that it was designed for walking rather than for some business functions. Originally lined with marble, its arcades were included in 1060 as part of the Byzantine defensive wall and are still visible. Standing was a two-story building with Doric columns outside, Ionic inside and capitals of the Pergamon type on the upper tier. In front of the Stoi is the foundation of the monument to Nikia (320 BC).
