Frank, Gustav Wilhelm

Gustav Frank was born in Schleiz . He was educated at the University of Jena , about the time of study at the University of Gustav entered into friendly relations with his teacher Karl August Gaza . In the years 1890-1893, Gustav participated in the publication of the collected works of his teacher. In 1859, Gustav underwent habilitation , and in 1864 he became a professor of theology in Jena. In 1867, he accepted the appointment as a professor of dogmatic theology to Vienna, where from 1867 he also became a member of the so-called Supreme Church Council.
