The 2006 European Winter Throwing Cup was held March 18-19 at the stadium of the Hadar Yosef Sports Center in Tel Aviv , Israel . The tournament program included shot put , discus throw , hammer throw and javelin throw . 2 Team Cups were played: among men and women. The competition was attended by 168 throwers from 28 European countries.

Each country could exhibit up to 2 people in each discipline. Both results in each type of throwing counted for the team, after which they were transferred to points using the IAAF International Results Translation Table. The winners and prize-winners in the team standings of the Cup were determined by the sum of the points received.
