Biography
Born in the city of Brest-Litovsk, Grodno Province . Received primary education. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1907.
Participation in the Civil War
Being a native of the lower classes, he immediately supported the October Revolution . On November 2, 1917, he headed the Military Revolutionary Committee in Tuapse . Under his leadership, the power of the Bolsheviks was established in the city and throughout the Black Sea province .
In November - December 1918 - Chief of Staff of the 10th Army of the Red Army . Then he held the posts of the Poltava provincial military commissar and the Kiev district military commissar.
In April - May 1919 - Commander of the 1st Ukrainian Soviet Army . After the liquidation of the Ukrainian front, he commanded the groups of troops of the 14th Army of the Red Army and the 12th Army of the Red Army . In 1920 he headed the Department of the formation of the 1st Cavalry Army .
After the Civil War
Deputy Head of the Department of logging, forestry and the Association of the South-Western regions of the People's Commissariat of the USSR forest industry. He lived in Moscow.
Arrested on April 5, 1937. Sentenced to death and executed on September 10, 1937. In 1956, rehabilitated.
