Poddyakov, Alexander Nikolaevich

In 1979 he graduated from the physics and mathematics class of secondary school No. 91 of Moscow.

He entered the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University, which he graduated in 1985.

In 1990 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of psychological sciences on the topic “Formation of the experimenting activity of preschool children with new objects of varying complexity” (specialty 19.00.07 - “educational psychology”) ^[1] .

In 2001 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Psychological Sciences on the topic “Development of research initiative in childhood” (specialty 19.00.07 - “Pedagogical Psychology”) ^[2] .

In 2009, she was awarded the academic title of professor.

Develops the concept of research activities and creative thinking of a person in complex developing areas, in the conditions of high novelty, dynamics and inconsistency. The concept is interdisciplinary in nature, integrating the provisions of psychology, the theory of complex dynamic systems, logic, mathematics and conflictology. One of the key points of the analysis is assistance and reaction as two fundamental types of interaction in various types of activity and activity.

In the field of the psychology of thinking, he conducts research on solving complex problems. A complex problem is understood as an open problem that changes in the course of solution, which includes many different sub-problems related to each other both by direct, immediate and distant relationships and connections, so it is impossible to solve any of these subproblems in isolation, separately, and you have to “unravel” everything at once simultaneously, often in conditions of limited resources - material, temporary, etc. Solving complex problems requires a complex of high-level abilities: cognitive (with features to collect a variety of information from a variety of sources, process it in a limited time and make several decisions at the same time), personal and emotional (ability to act in conditions of novelty and uncertainty, internal readiness for various results of actions, including unexpected - both positive and denied.), social abilities related to understanding and taking into account the intentions and actions of many people - partners, allies and opponents. A. N. Poddyakov formulated a list of methodological ideas about solving complex problems and gave an analysis of various psychological tools for solving them (concepts, images, search strategies, etc.).

In the field of education, A. N. Poddyakov analyzes the coincidences and contradictions of the interests and values ​​of various participants in the educational process, striving for different goals. He developed classifications of types of assistance and opposition to the learning of another subject, carried out with various goals (developmental, destructive, etc.).

In the field of psychodiagnostics, he develops a position on the impossibility of a standard test of creative thinking as a “standard for measuring non-standardness”. I found and analyzed an error in the PISA-2012 diagnostic task for creative thinking: the developers created a closed list of creative answers in advance, which guided the assessment, not taking into account other possible correct solutions ^[4] .

The monograph by A. N. Poddyakov “The Psychology of Competition in Education” (Moscow: Publishing House of the Higher School of Economics, 2006) took 1st place at the All-Russian Competition of Psychological Publications in the nomination “The Best Monograph on Psychology - 2007” ^[5] .
