History

The first name of the passage is Schneider Street. It has been known since 1914 and came from the name of the business partner of the Putilov factory , the owner of the company Schneider-Creusot. In 1916 , at the height of the First World War , the German name was changed to Russian - Tikhomirovskaya Street, also by the name of the landlord E.P. Tikhomirov.

The street runs along the southern border of the garden on January 9th . Until 1962, it continued east almost to the railway.
