His father was the consul of 19 BC. e. Mark Vinicius . During the reign of Emperor Octavian Augustus, he was on the post of legate of the Prophet of Macedonia and Thrace. One of the military tribunes that served under him was the famous Roman historian Welley Patculus [1] . In year 2, Vinicius served as an ordinary consul along with Publius Alfen Var . In 8–9 years, he presumably ruled the province of Asia as a proconsul. In 20, Vinicius refused to defend in the court of Gnei Kalpurniy Pizon, accused of the murder of Germanicus [2] . He was considered a brilliant speaker.
His son was 30 years old consul Mark Vinicius .
