Biography
Born in Morozovsk, Rostov Region .
He graduated from the mining department of Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute (with honors). By distribution, he came to Norilsk (August 4, 1955), worked at the Norilsk integrated geological exploration expedition (NKGRE):
- 1955-1956 senior geologist in the Kayerkan coal party;
- 1956-1958 geologist and senior geologist of the Gorozubov party;
- 1958-1960 senior geologist and at the same time chief engineer of the Imangdinsk exploration party;
- 1960-1962 Senior geologist of the geological department of the NKGRE.
- 1962-1974 Chief Geologist of the West Haraelakh Party,
- Since 1974, the head of the consolidated cameral group for the general calculation of reserves of the Talnakh ore cluster.
- Since 1980, the chief geologist of the production geological party.
For several years he was the chief geologist of the Norilsk integrated geological exploration expedition, and served as chief of the expedition. From April to December 1993, a leading geologist of the geological department of the Norilsk exploration site.
In December 1993, he quit the Norilsk KGE and worked for 7 years in the Committee for Natural Resources of the Taimyr Autonomous Okrug .
On July 9, 1960, Kravtsov, the local geologist of the South Pyasinsky Party, Nesterovsky, and the junior geologist of the same party, Kuznetsov, at the foot of Mount Separate, discovered a radical exit of intrusion. That was how the Talnakhskoye field was discovered.
In 1962, the West Kharaelakh party (chief geologist Kravtsov) discovered a powerful intrusion, which later became part of the Oktyabrsky field.
The 1965 Lenin Prize - for the discovery, exploration and exploration of the Talnakhskoye field. Honorary Citizen of Norilsk (2013).
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin (1976), the Red Banner of Labor, and the badge "Excellence in Subsoil Intelligence." Honored Geologist of the Russian Federation .
Since 2002, retired, lived in St. Petersburg .
He was buried in the village. Murino, Vsevolozhsk district, Leningrad region (Novo-Murinsky cemetery).
