Mountain Village is located on the banks of the Yukon River . The area of ​​the city is 11.3 km².

History

The city was incorporated on December 20, 1967 [3] .

Population

According to the 2000 census, the population of the city was 755 people [4] . Racial Composition: Native Americans - 90.46%; white - 6.36%; residents of the Pacific Islands - 0.13% and representatives of two or more races - 3.05%.

Of the 183 households, 56.8% raised children under the age of 18 years, 46.4% were married couples living together, in 21.3% of the families women lived without husbands, 19.7% did not have a family. 17.5% of the total number of households at the time of the census lived independently, while 1.6% were single elderly people aged 65 years and older. On average, 4.13 people conduct households, and the average family size is 4.69 people.
